The course provides an overview of the listing process and seller agency as well as the applications of the Georgia Exclusive Seller Listing Agreement and the Non-exclusive Seller Listing Agreement. Students will learn how to prepare and present an effective, informative marketing plan to sellers; handle the hazard areas regarding the accuracy of listing information, and follow-up after a listing appointment.
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Relate the steps involved in the listing process; Discuss the Brokerage Relationships and Real Estate Transactions Act (BRRETA) as it applies to agent's and broker's duties; Explain your company's agency policy on working with sellers
- Demonstrate the use of the Georgia Exclusive Seller Listing Agreement (form F1); Discover how it applies to relationships, duties, marketing, and disclosure
- Describe the application of the Non-exclusive Seller Listing Agreement; Demonstrate how to use the Authorization to Show Unlisted Property form; Identify your duties to the buyer and seller
- Indicate the information contained in marketing portfolios; Clarify what conveys with the property and what the sellers plan to take with them; Demonstrate how to handle the hazard areas regarding the accuracy of listing information; Discuss the issues an
agent may deal with involving property in estate, trustees, divorce, power of attorney; Describe the follow-up steps taken after the listing appointment
